Bella

Bella is a shy and a very smart little girl who’s learning all about being in a home for the first time and she’s loving every minute of her new life. 

Thanks to her foster family’s doggy pack, Bella is quickly learning that humans can be trustworthy and caring.  In a short time period she has learned to be relaxed after being almost unapproachable at first. As soon as she realized she wasn’t in any danger, Bella’s playful personality emerged and she’s been making her foster family laugh and smile every day as she continues to progress.  

Bella quickly warmed up to her foster mom.  She loves children, small dogs and even larger dogs who are nice to her.  

Due to Bella’s small size, we recommend a patient home with kids older than 10 years old as she continues to improve on trusting humans. 

It seems that Bella has never been walked on a leash, had a collar put on but she continues to work on leash skills and is getting used to going on walks with her new foster family.  She had never been held or cuddled in the past, but she is definitely enjoying the warmth and comfort of a human now.  She’s gone from trembling all the time to relaxing, napping, playing and suntanning as she’s seen the way a caring family helps her become a better dog.  💚

Bella is making great improvements daily on her potty training. She is using potty pads just fine and goes outside whenever she’s with her little dog pack. Bella is crate-trained and loves her little space. 

Bella wants to please, is very food motivated and will even ask to get into her person’s lap. She loves playing with the other little dogs that she is friends with and she also has a favorite toy that amuses her when everyone else is sleeping. 

She likes to eat by herself but will share as she makes friends. Bella loves making new friends but at her own pace, she needs to make sure she sniffs everyone first and she can trust you. If you give her time, Bella will become your best friend. She enjoys being near her human and really wants to feel what it means to have a family and have a home.
