Our rescue started from a random Facebook post, shared on a friend’s wall. A litter of 5 newborn puppies were found abandoned near a rural highway. The post was asking for help to rescue these puppies.
We stepped in to volunteer, but unfortunately, not all the puppies survived. There were still positive outcomes though! We kept one of the sweet puppies, named Angel, who is now a treasured member of our family. We also met wonderful and devoted people, who are committed to saving animals in desperate circumstances.
So far, it’s been an amazing experience witnessing how these stray and previously unwanted dogs and cats bond with their new owners! The animals are so loving and it seems as if they were destined to be family! Once we began to help, we felt that we could not stop!
Our mission is not only to find loving homes for dogs and cats who need families, but also to connect the families looking for their furry soulmates.
It has been such a rewarding and satisfying experience for us, that we established a rescue named after our wonderful pet Angel.
Angel’s Furry Friends Rescue is a animal rescue group, located in the San Francisco Bay Area, established in May, 2018. We are foster based organization, which means that we do not have a shelter at this time. We have just received our 501 (c) 3 non-profit status, so it is a very exciting time for us!
We are committed to help the animals in need in California and around the world.
We are actively involved and support the campaigns for stricter legislation regarding animal abusing individuals and violence towards animals in the United States and across the world.
We work with our partners to bring awareness to animal issues. We support the animal victims and started the petition that requests the maximum prison time for animal abuse crimes in San Jose (sign the petition here).
We rescued a German Shepherd Thor from a San Jose Animal Shelter, who is with his furever loving family.
In Russia the streets of several cities were being cleared of stray dogs in inhumane ways, in order to prepare to world soccer Tournament FIFA 2018 (sign the petition here).
We work with local rescues, along with our Partner WA2S to help to protect stray dogs from inhumane extermination. We have brought several animals to California and placed them in loving homes. The majority of our animals come from our Rescue Partner in Russia House Of Tails , who have already rescued over 800 animals.
Our Fundraiser to help House of Tails.
To us, the story of Angel, the abandoned puppy from Volgograd, Russia (AKA Stalingrad) represents the story of all neglected and mistreated animals in the world.
We have the goal to improve animal lives and bring awareness to animal issues. We plan to conduct more public campaigns, educational projects, fundraising, and to expand our foster networks through collaboration with our partners.
