Update on Quincy 3/16/2021:
Quincy undergone MRI scan and it was determined that the fracture in her spine is old and the chances are certainly not great.
The surgeons at specialty clinic in Moscow still decided to carry out the operation. The surgery was done on March,13. During the operation, a nerve that was clamped by broken vertebrae was released. Yesterday (March 15) they had started a rehabilitation course, and we were told that her prognosis is actually not bad!
The video taken during the yesterday PT session shows that Quincy’s back paws got sensitivity and bounce back to its original position, when retracted back! These are great news, since the initial prognosis was not as promising.
We are happy for Quincy, she is on a good path to recovery.
Thank you so much, for helping out with the costs of treatments and caring for Quincy!
Update on Quincy 3/11/21
Quincy was released from the veterinary hospital and is moved to a medical foster home. Her paws and crotch are being cleaned, treated for frost bites and inflamed tissues. She is having daily ointment and bandages changes, and the skin looks better. Her antibiotic treatments are also continued at foster home. The local doctors confirmed a spinal fracture and do not recommend a surgery. Her back paws at this point are weak.
In spite of pain and her past hardships Quincy is surprisingly cheerful and friendly, and even tries to play with other animals at foster home! The rescue is discussing the chances of potential spine operation with a specialty clinic in Moscow.
Thank you so much to all, who was supporting and helping this sweet girl! We are sincerely grateful and will be updating you on her condition.
THERE WON’T BE ANY SUCCESS STORIES WITHOUT YOU!

She magically survived and then had to live like this though the freezing temperatures for over 2 month without anybody rescuing her! She was dragging her disabled legs behind, sleeping on freezing asphalt and begging for food.
