Sparky

Sparky was rescued from a family that didn’t walk him, did not treat him well, he was often by himself wandering around, quite neglected. Sparky loves going for walks, will bark and pull to get to other dogs not in an aggressive way. He may chase prey animals including cats and needs leash training for pulling and basic obedience. Sparky needs a calm patient foster or owner to work on not jumping on people and nipping/mouthing people. He may bark on car rides, also would jump through windows with screens if open. Sparky is about 5 y.o., just got neutered recently, he is also up to date on vaccinations. His breed: bluetick coonhound, he is a purebred dog.

Sparky loves tug toys and will fetch balls that won’t really give it back to you yet. We are looking for an experienced, dog-savvy family, who has time and patience to help Sparky to improve his obedience, spend time with him on walks and runs, help him to work on recall and practice good companionship behaviors.
