Arbuzka was found on the streets of San Jose and brought to our rescue. She had no collar or microchip, so we’ve posted her in local lost&found groups and reported to San Jose Animal Care Center, but so far her previous owners didn’t contact us.
She was quite neglected before – she had a wound on her back, were missing some hair and teeth, was obese, her nails appeared to be never trimmed before, she had difficulty walking and had flees, was quite shy and anxious when she first got into our care. She has improved a lot both physically and emotionally since getting into a foster home, but her rehabilitation journey is still not finished. Her adoption family will have to commit continuing her weight control, taking her out for regular walks and bringing to vet appointments as needed.
She has turned into very gentle and lovely dog, gets along well with cats , small dogs and children. House-trained, spayed, microchipped and scheduled for vaccination before adoption. We believe she is about 5-6 years old.
We believe she will do best in a home with other small dogs or cats, but will consider other responsible applicants as well.
Please familiarize yourself with our Adoption Process.
