Update on Nash 5/4/2021:

Look at Nash! He does not have a leg, but his life is saved! The amputation site has healed well, the remaining front paw injuries are also healing nicely! Nash keeps receiving treatments, but his life is not in danger anymore.
Thank you so much to all who helped 🙏🙏🙏

Update on Nash 4/22/2021:

Nash is released from the vet, he is at the shelter. His remaining paw is healing, he completed the antibiotics treatments. Right now, he is resting and getting used to shelter environment. The volunteers take care of the healing paw and monitor it closely. After sometime Nash will hopefully start learning to walk on three paws. He is eating well, and looks and feels much better now.
We will keep following Nash, and helping with everything to help him to heal.
Thank you so much for all the support and your kind donations, we direct to his care!

Update on Nash 4/13/2021:

Nash is sleeping a lot after the surgery, he is receiving strong antibiotics, and his remaining injured paw is treated with anti inflammatory frequently during the day. The good news is, there is a hope, that this paw can be saved! The veterinarian are doing the best they could to stop all inflammations.

Nash ate a little today on his own as well! That is very good news!
We will keep following Nash, and helping with everything we can to get him to a better state.

Thank you so much for all the support and your kind donations, we will direct to his care.

Update on Nash (4/11/2021):

Nash AFFR
We wish we could have a better news about Nash..

Nash was not doing great. They had been trying everything to treat both his front legs, every two hours cleaning with antiseptic fluids. The doctors said Due to a high risk of developing sepsis, it was very risky to take him on a 15 hour trip to Moscow from Volgograd. In spite all the efforts to stabilize his condition, necrosis and inflammation were already deeply affecting his bones. His blood work was getting worse by an hour, it was decided to amputate his left paw.
Nash was operated yesterday, one front paw was amputated. Unfortunately it was not possible to save it, the deterioration was too advanced and became a threat to his life..
We attach the video, we received, Nash is resting after the surgery. There is still an ongoing fight to save his second paw.
We will keep following Nash, and helping with everything we can to get him to a better state.
Thank you so much for all the support and your kind donations, we will direct to his care.

Nash's story (4/7/2021):

Our recently rescued doggie – Nash – used to live by a car repair shop. He disappeared for a week and appeared with badly injured paws. When he returned back to the auto shop, he was laying in the dirt for days, shaking from pain, unable to stand up and waiting to die. His bones are sticking through the rotten flesh on his legs, and he is wailing from pain and fear. We can only guess what exactly happened to him and what caused it, but Nash is perhaps another victim of human cruelty.

Well, everyone in the car shop watched him suffer while he couldn’t get up for three days. The rescue was called only after a few days with the request: “Take him away, we can’t see how he suffers”. It’s hard to imagine how much pain this poor puppy endured during all these days when he could have been helped, but nobody bothered to.

Nash is in the clinic right now, serious wounds, doctors assume he was injured and then licked it himself. The left paw is really bad, the local vet doctors in Volgograd are afraid that they may not be able to save it and it will have to be amputated. All tissues and muscles were rotted away and bone necrosis possibly began. Now he is on injectable antibiotics, and his wounds are being treated. He behaves well. He is also on painkillers. The rescue in Volgograd was offered to transport Nash to Moscow animal hospital to try to save the front paws from amputation. A lot of inflammation, flesh, skin, muscles are missing on large areas of his legs, only bones are left (not broken). He needs transportation and treatment in Moscow – all they can do in Volgograd is amputation of (possibly) both front legs. In Moscow there is a chance.

Thank you for giving this doggie a second chance, dear friends!
