Nash is sleeping a lot after the surgery, he is receiving strong antibiotics, and his remaining injured paw is treated with anti inflammatory frequently during the day. The good news is, there is a hope, that this paw can be saved! The veterinarian are doing the best they could to stop all inflammations.

Update on Nash (4/11/2021):
Nash's story (4/7/2021):
Our recently rescued doggie – Nash – used to live by a car repair shop. He disappeared for a week and appeared with badly injured paws. When he returned back to the auto shop, he was laying in the dirt for days, shaking from pain, unable to stand up and waiting to die. His bones are sticking through the rotten flesh on his legs, and he is wailing from pain and fear. We can only guess what exactly happened to him and what caused it, but Nash is perhaps another victim of human cruelty.
Well, everyone in the car shop watched him suffer while he couldn’t get up for three days. The rescue was called only after a few days with the request: “Take him away, we can’t see how he suffers”. It’s hard to imagine how much pain this poor puppy endured during all these days when he could have been helped, but nobody bothered to.
Nash is in the clinic right now, serious wounds, doctors assume he was injured and then licked it himself. The left paw is really bad, the local vet doctors in Volgograd are afraid that they may not be able to save it and it will have to be amputated. All tissues and muscles were rotted away and bone necrosis possibly began. Now he is on injectable antibiotics, and his wounds are being treated. He behaves well. He is also on painkillers. The rescue in Volgograd was offered to transport Nash to Moscow animal hospital to try to save the front paws from amputation. A lot of inflammation, flesh, skin, muscles are missing on large areas of his legs, only bones are left (not broken). He needs transportation and treatment in Moscow – all they can do in Volgograd is amputation of (possibly) both front legs. In Moscow there is a chance.
Thank you for giving this doggie a second chance, dear friends!
