Kitten with degloved chin needs your help

Little Walter has been in a lot of pain in his short life. He was brought to San Jose Animal Services Center with a degloved chin, knuckling front leg and URI (upper respiratory infection). He spent seven days on pain medications almost not eating and he was about to be euthanized when we were able to rescue him, putting together a fantastic team of vets and a medical foster.
He had his surgery two days ago which went very well – the skin on his chin is now fixed back in place with a surgical button until it heals. He was willing to eat hungrily shortly after surgery. His behavior immediately changed from being almost terrified of being touched to relaxed and purring in foster arms.
He still has a long way to a pain-free life – his chin needs to heal and surgery stitches will have to be removed, more detailed diagnostics and, hopefully, fixing of his leg are pending.
If you’re so inclined, please consider making a donation so we can continue to help those furry friends who need it most ❤️
