Iris is a good companion dog. She is equally eager to hike with you in the mountains or quietly hang out near your feet if you have to work all day. She is not a trouble maker, doesn’t bark, is not interested in a trash bin or your shoes or your furniture. Iris is very obedient, patient and wants to please her owner. Iris is an exceptional dog in experienced hands. She needs someone who is very experienced with dogs and has the time to help iris through her anxiety. Although she is already an incredible house dog she will still need work on how to deal with life and show her she isn’t going to get hurt; this will take time and patience. It would be good for her to be around a family with other animals and kids. She will be shy but she needs good examples to follow to help her engage more. If you are experienced and have the time to devote to helping iris please give this sweet girl a chance. She deserves it and she definitely deserves to know how it feels to be a happy, relaxed dog in a forever home. We would prefer Iris be adopted by a household with a friendly, easy going dog. She would be a great addition to a patient family, willing to give Iris some time to feel at home.
