Meet Maxwell!
Two weeks ago this German Shepherd was surrendered by his owners to San Jose Animal shelter and saved by Furr’s Angels Rescue from being euthanized. While the 6-year-old dog was very intelligent and knew all the basic obedience commands, due to his stress and depression at the shelter he was listed as “rescue only.” If he wasn’t pulled from the shelter by February 22nd, the shelter wrote in a message to rescuers, his fate would be sealed. Today he is a happy dog, a kisser, a smiler and a shining light. He is extremely smart, gentle, friendly, fast learner and very well behaved dog. He immediately falls in love with kids and women. He is OK with men, but to become his real friend you need to put a little effort such as supporting him with his favorite liver treats. Oh, yeah, he loves to be treated, petted, loved and kissed! He walks very good on a leash, knows “Heel” command and isn’t squirrel chasing. Although, he shows his interest in cats and bigger dogs. Max is very friendly with female dogs and needs a proper introduction to a male ones. He is a sweet family dog who is waiting for his forever home and loving family.
